Since 1985, Sumitomo Precision Products have been involved in the development and manufacture of heat exchangers for various Rolls-Royce aircraft engines. This experience contributed greatly to the overseas expansion of Sumitomo Precision Products’ heat exchangers for civil aircraft engines, and became the foundation for expanding exports.
From Roll-Royce plc, Neil Marsons, Group Chief Procurement Officer, from Rolls-Royce North America, Iain James, SVP Procurement, and Nick Forrow, VP Supplier Management, and from Rolls-Royce Japan, Susumu Kaminaga, President of Rolls-Royce Japan, joined.
On November 13, they visited the Besshi Copper Mine Memorial Museum in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture, the birthplace of the Sumitomo Group, and on the 14th, a commemorative ceremony was held at the Amagasaki head office.
At the commemorative ceremony, Neil Marsons, Group Chief Procurement Officer, said, "I am very grateful to experience the Sumitomo Group's history and high level of hospitality over these two days. I believe we have had a mutually beneficial relationship for the past 40 years. I hope to continue this relationship for a long time to come.”
Afterwards, a commemorative photograph was taken with approximately 200 members involved in the development, manufacturing and sales of the heat management system.
We are grateful for this 40th anniversary since we started doing business together, and will continue to work even harder on development and manufacturing so that we can continue to have a good relationship together into the future.
